Keep chairs covered when not in use.

Always rinse and chamois chairs and accompanying equipment after a day on the water.

Periodically remove the chair’s seat from top of the pipe & wipe out any salt, dirt, or grime. While the chair is removed, grease the spindle/bearing with a Teflon based grease. Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease is a great option. Same rules apply for offset base spindles.

Trillion Series Thru-Hull Style Ladderbacks may require a small amount of Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease on the stainless steel post to ease the back in and out of the seat over time.

Wax is your fighting chair’s best friend. A good car or boat wax will work great for the Polyurethane finish on your chairs. Collinite 850 Metal Wax is great on all the stainless steel & Collinite Insulator Wax works well for protecting the foot-rest legs.

In the event a guest hits a rod butt against your fighting chair’s teak finish and exposes raw wood, add clear finger nail polish to the exposed area as soon as possible to prevent moisture from entering the broken finish.
